I just wanted to thank you for being a part of the Live Healthy Iowa program. I started the program at the beginning and am still doing it. I joined Weight Watchers at the same time as this program started and have been successful thus far. When the Live Healthy Iowa program ended I have lost a total of 29 pounds. As of today’s date I am glad to say I have lost 42. The Live Healthy Iowa program gave me the motivation to start and continue. I cannot believe how much better I feel. When I started I had severe back and knee problems and now neither one bother me. I participated in the Relay for Life on Friday evening in Clarinda, Iowa and walked four miles. I also push mow my yard on a weekly basis and according to my pedometer it is equivalent to five miles. I could have never done this without your program to get me motivated to get started. I have a doctors appointment on June 15th and cannot wait for the results of my blood work. My son is getting married in October and I turn 50 in November and so I have two incentives to continue to take off the pounds. My first goal is 100 pounds and then we will go from there.
Again I thank you for this wonderful program.. I also joined the Lt. Governor’s Challenge this week for even more incentive.
